Using the right Tools

Many people believe that they can solve their problem of high stress and low self-confidence by reading self-help books or attending motivational seminars. Let me tell you a story from Greek mythology.

Icarus was imprisoned in a tower along with his father, the master craftsman Daedalus, by King Minos of Crete- Daedalus had created the Labyrinth, an intricate maze built to detain the Minotaur, a half-man and half-bull creature. Minos imprisoned Daedalus and his son to ensure that the secret of the Labyrinth was contained. However, being a skilled craftsman, Daedalus fashioned two sets of wings out of feathers and wax for himself and Icarus to escape the tower. He warned his son to not fly too high as the sun’s heat would melt the wax.

But Icarus was ecstatic with his newfound ability to fly and soon forgot his father’s warning. Losing himself in the thrill of flight, he flew higher and higher, eventually going too close to the sun. The heat melted his wings, and he tragically plunged to his death in the ocean below.

Icarus yearned to fly to the greatest heights possible, but his tools—a pair of wings made of feathers and wax—let him down.

See, unless you know the method, unless you have a process or a system and have the right tools to go from where you are to where you want to be, it is going to take you a longer time figure things out by yourself.
